Looks like Gateway is just cloning what Acer is pushing out the door these days. First, it was the Aspire One series being re-style into Gateway LT series and now the Acer Timeline series has a counter-part in the Gateway EC series.

The Gateway EC3801i is a 13.3″ laptop which has a similar specs and price point as the Acer Timeline. It also boasts of the same 8-hour battery life.

This model is slightly heavier at 1.8kg compared to Timeline’s 1.6kg. The retail price of the Gateway EC3801i is Php49,896 (as listed in VillMan).
